Guest guest Posted March 13, 2001 Report Share Posted March 13, 2001 Jiffy "Cheese" Spread Source: Newstart Lifestyle Cookbook 3/4 cup water1/3 cup clean, raw cashews1 cup cooked brown rice2 oz. jar pimientos2 Tbsp. food yeast flakes2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice1 tsp. onion powder1 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. garlic powderpinch dill weed Process cashews with about 1/2 cup of the water in a blender until verysmooth. Add remaining water and cooked rice and continue blending. Addremaining ingredients and continue to blend until very smooth. Will keep inrefrigerator, in an airtight container about 1 week. For variation, addcaraway or chives.
