Guest guest
I heard a rumor...and so I called and found out that ALL Duncan Heinz products are animal free! Do you believe it?? I would LOVE to believe it, but call me a sceptic. ;-) Has anyone have information to support this as well?? Thanks Jo-Ann
Guest guest
I can say this about them - I bought Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix and chocolate frosting and neither of them had any animal product or at least none that I recognized. I was so happy and then I came home to bake the cake and it was a flop. Oh well, better luck next time. -Stefany ________ Jo-Ann wrote: I heard a rumor...and so I called and found out that ALL Duncan Heinz products are animal free! Do you believe it?? I wish I could get a straight message from the companies already! sheesh! But the cakes were okay and had no D on the label. Jo-Ann
Guest guest
Hmmm - As some of you know, I'm still new to this whole Vegan thing and, mostly thanks to you guys, I am learning new things everyday. I don't want to sound silly, but what codes are you talking about, Jo-Ann? I wasn't aware of them and would love to know what they are. ----------------- Jo-ann wrote: Well...today I went shopping and looked at those code thingies on the boxes and I noticed that the frosting had a U in ancircle meaning it was kosher and all, but a D out side of the circle meaning it very well MAY contain dairy! The only thing that can really help us VEGANS is the code D on some labels indicate that the product contains trace amounts of Dairy even if there is NO indication on the label. I am new to being a Vegan too and the codes I really dont understand ALL that they imply, however if someone who was Jewish and a Vegan, I bet that they could really help Jo-Ann
