Guest guest
Thanks for the info Jennifer:) Actually on a quick note.. I have been eating vegetarian for just over a year now, with only about 3 weeks ago deciding to become completely vegetarian and eating vegan... Since I started on the vegetarian diet, I got rid of manic depression, high triglyceride levels, and a bit of excess weight The only thing I had left to do was to lose more weight and lower my blood pressure which was quite high for some one of my age. I heard about the McDougall programme to lower blood pressure and told my doctor about it yesterday (after I had taken myself off medication which was a naughty thing to do - so dont try it without checking with your doc first!) Anyhow my doctor was quite rude to me about it and said that this whole being a vegan reduces blood pressure would be unfounded and basically not possible.. heh I didnt say anything.. anyhow she checked my blood pressure for me and it was the best it has been in over a year!!!! even on medication it was still a bit high!! LOL!!! I asked if she thought being vegan for 3 weeks has contributed and she said it was impossible lol hmm I cant think of anything else that could have contributed to be honest, as I have not done anything else spectacular.. and no joke the day before I started a vegan diet I had my blood pressure checked and it was high.. Anyhow I am so happy hehe all I have left now is the excess weight.. *does a happy dance* Have a good weekend folks Rikki.
