Guest guest
Hey Jeff, Here's the recipe I use for brownies, found the recipe on the net somewhere...I think they are great... lemme know if you've already tried them or if you like/dislike them and I have a couple other recipes I could send ya: Outrageous Brownies No one has ever guessed that these are vegan! 1 1/3 cups flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 cup softened margarine 1 cup sugar 3 tbls oil 1 12.3 oz package firm silken tofu 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350 Combine flour and baking soda and set aside. Combine margarine, sugar and oil in a food processor and process 2 minutes or until light and fluffy. Add tofu and process for 2 minutes longer. Add cocoa powder and vanilla and process for a short time. Slowly add the dry mixture, processing periodically. Pour into a bowl and add chocolate chips. Pour batter into a lightly oiled 9 X 12 inch baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes; check at 20 minutes >One thing that I've yet to perfect, probably due to the lack of eggs, is >brownies. They either come out cake like, low and hard or sort of > " swampy " . > I've never been able to get that full, firm texture. The cake like ones >are the best to eat but still not really a brownie. > >Later, Jeff _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
