Guest guest
Hello everyone!!! I wonder, does anyone have any ideas what I can do with the wealth of plums I have that all seem to have ripened at the same time!! I can't eat them quick enough and pretty soon they're going to go to waste!! Was sure I had a plum tea loaf receipe, but alas no, Any ideas would be most gratefully received, hope you're all well and happy Jenny PS Don't know if anyone on the list is in the UK – Have just heard from nestle that After eights are no longer vegan, thought you might like to know. __________ Get your free @.co.uk address at http://mail..co.uk or your free @.ie address at http://mail..ie

Guest guest
I would think a plum chutney would be delicious. My aunt would always make plum jam. I have made plum pies and tarts. Plums are lovely! They make nice gifts , and provide an opportunity to get rid of an abundance of containers as well. If you experiment, and come up with something plum-good, please share with the group. What kind of plums are you dealing with, anyhow? There are so many varieties. Guest guest
Don't quote me on this but I have inside knowledge that After Eight's produced in the UK ARE vegan. Apparently Nestle were going to change the recipe but changed their mind after the new packaging was printed. Hopefully once this packaging has been used up everything will return to normal. Mind you, I doesn't affect me. Ever since I got given nine boxes of the stuff the first Christmas after I became a vegan in 1989 I feel sick just looking at them !!! - A.
