Guest guest
I too was a little surprised by the recipe to support Nader, but then I thought about it and realized that one of the things that's so hard for me being a vegetarian in our culture is the support given to meat based industry and mass produced, shipped vegetables which are sprayed with pesticides. Frequently, when I ask for a vegetarian variation on a meat dish in a restaurant, I'm told it will cost the same or pennies less. Considering how much more expensive it is to raise meat than veg. products, I think it's unfair. Nadir supports a more realistic approach to food production. I suppose that supporting him might help to lower the price of our ingredients, and make vegetarian life styles more accessible and easier to accommodate in the land of McDonalds. Thanks so much to all of you for these wonderful recipes!! Wow cauliflower and almonds...chocolate biscuits???? Oooooeee,. Anyone buy frozen miso? Try adding it to regular soup for an extra nutritional boost and deepened flavor. Yes, I am lazy and the less time I spend in the kitchen the better! Guest guest
Just wanted to say that Stephanie is right on! Earth Balance is, in my opinion, the best vegan margarine out there. Tastes like butter and you know that it's non-hydrogenated because it melts fast in this heat we're having right now in NJ! The spectrum stuff is okay also but it's sort of weird in terms of the consistency.
