Guest guest
Hey I just thought I would add my 2 cents worth on this... Why anyone would want to eat Casein anyway is beyond me.. it is a type of polymer derived from cows milk that they use in plastic shopping bags as well... I did not know this before I tried it and I kid you not when I tried a soy cheese with it in it my dinner nearly came up... both my fiance and I found this cheese to taste very plastic like and when we found out about them using this is plastic bags as well we knew why... I can't imagine it being all that healthy... Anyways thats my little imput Rikki --

It isn't necessarily a horrible thing, but the cow's milk casein isn't meant for human consumption so that casein is not good for humans, but it is very nutritious to a cow, we aren't cows so of course it wouldn't be good for us. IMHO .. it has it's place. The casein found in a cow's milk is intended and designed for the calf while the casein found in a mother's milk is intended and designed for her nursling. (.)(.) (.)(.) Jodi, do you have more information about this? From the reading I've done, I didn't think that the prions that cause mad cow disease can be destroyed in any portion of the beef or dairy product produced from infected cows. Can you share more?
