Guest guest
Hehe sorry Robyn, I wasn't totally sure the pastry I used was vegan which is why I didn't list it.. but have since found out it is... its pampas sundried tomato and olive oil puff pastry I live in Australia so i don't know if you have that brand where you are.. plain puff pastry will do also though... What I did for the rolls was I cut the sheet in half then I spread a spoonful down the middle of the pastry of the potato mixture and put on side of the pastry over it and rolled it around completely until it looked like a sausage roll (I don't know what cinamin rolls look like sorry)... umm I dont know how to explain it very well !! I then cut the roll into large bite size pieces... about this long each: _______________________ and placed them on a greased tray and cooked them in the oven until they were brown.. Then with the left overs I made a family size pie.. I greased a pie dish, placed a plain puff pastry sheet inside, then I spooned in some of the potato mixture until i made a layer, then I made a thin layer of baked beans, then I added a bit more potato on top before putting another puff pastry sheet on top.. I pierced the pastry on top a few times with a fork and cut any excess pastry that was over lapping the pie dish and made little shapes out of it and pressed it down onto the top of the pie.. then I just cooked that until it was brown also.... I hope this has helped and not confused you even more! I am not very good at explaining things God Bless Rikki-Lee On 2001.08.08 04:13:38 +1000 tmrtwo wrote: > I'm sorry for being so dumb...but could you give me an idea of what kind > of pastry you are talking about. Guest guest
Rikki-Lee, Puff pastry I can get. Though I have never used it and don't know what flavors we have available. I live on the west coast of the US, in So. California. We have a very diverse culture, so I'm pretty sure I can find something good. By the way, my sister-in-law is from Australia. Thanks again, Robyn - CA
