Guest guest
Hey! Whenever we go on vacation it is impossible to not eat out somewhere. So I have found that there is something you can eat anywhere you go. At the fast food places (which I despise, but the rest of the family loves) I ordered a plain bun with lettuce, tomato, onion & mustard, although I'm sure you could get other veggies too. And most places have side salads. The sit down places like perkins & dennys usually you can order a portabello burger, just stress that it is not to be cooked in butter or anything. You can also order steamed veggies. Even though it's not on the menu, chances are you can still ask for certain things like this as long as it's simple things, nothing too exotic. Hope this helps.. :-) Dolly _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
Concerning the plain bun idea, and all non-organic breads for that matter, there are a LOT of weird ingredients in them! Like Dough Conditioners (?) and Mono and diglycerides (with no mention that they are plant based) plus a lot of other things. I try like mad to buy organic bread from the HFS, but sometimes I cant get there and buy grocerystore variety and I really hate the idea that I cant pronounce half the stuff in something as simple as BREAD For the love of life, Jo-Ann Want to chat with other vegans? Join Vegan-Talk!! Vegan-Talk
Guest guest
True True--in fact most most bread from the store is not vegan. I can rarely ever find anything aside from pita bread that is. - <LamourDelaVie Saturday, August 18, 2001 6:40 AM Re: Eating out vegan style > Concerning the plain bun idea, and all non-organic breads for that matter, > there are a LOT of weird ingredients in them!
