vegan spreads

Earth Balance is the BEST! it even bakes awesome!! As far as telling if a

spread is vegan or not, I would check the label or look for the Kosher

" Parve " symbol. The PArve symbol will either be a " K " with the words " parve "

under it or a " U " in a circle by itself. If there is a " D " that would

indicate the possible presence of dairy.

Unfortunately sometimes the kosher symbol can not guarantee a vegan product,

Kosher products can have many animal products in them. Kosher just means

that a Rabbi has deemed the product kosher according to Judaic law. However

recently there have even been Rabbis who have gone so far as to deem food

products kosher even when they contain pork products which is against Judaic

law, so you can't actually be sure without having a list of animal

ingredients, and checking the ingredients on the package.
