Guest guest
I just had a " veggie edge " pizza on the weekend (which has the thin crust) and I had thought it was vegetarian. Well, whether it is or not doesn't matter to me anymore because I'm not buying their pizzas again! I found 2 pieces of sausage that got " dropped " onto my veggie pizza! How gross is that?! I don't know if it's some carnivore's idea of a sick joke or what, dropping a couple pieces of meat onto a veggie pizza while preparing it, but you sure can't trust some of these places. On the other hand, there is one restaurant that we go to occasionally, for dining out, that will prepare a delicious spicy spaghetti dish that usually has pieces of chicken, and they will not only leave the chicken off, but will toss it in olive oil for me instead of chicken broth. I find it's often easier to look for entrees that might contain some meat, on the menu, and ask them to leave it out, than it is to try and get them to convert a recipe with dairy for you! I guess the best thing to do is ask around and see what the particular restaurant's reputation is for catering to special diets. Rhonda P.S. Does anyone have a tasty recipe for vegan *thin* pizza crust? The recipe I have makes too thick a crust and we like a thinner crust. Thanks.
