Guest guest Posted September 16, 2001 Report Share Posted September 16, 2001 Walnut "Cheese" Balls Source: Vegetarian Cooking School Cookbook 1 cup walnuts, toasted and finely chopped3 cups soft whole whet bread crumbs6 Tbl dried onion flakes1 tsp sea salt½ tsp garlic powder3 Tbl Do PeP (Vital Wheat Gluten)4 tsp dried parsley¼ tsp marjoram2 cups Tofu, mashed1 In a large bowl, combine seasoning and DoPep.2 Stir in tofu, bread crumbs and walnuts.3 Knead with hands to mix thoroughly.4 Adjust seasoning to taste.5 Roll into balls about the size of walnut shells.(a small amount of water may need to be added if it seems dry and the balls don't hold together when gently molded in the palms of your hands.)6 The mixture is right when it is dry, but not gummy or sticky).7 Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes on sprayed cookie sheet, uncovered. ~Pray for Peace~ http://www.Christian-Vegan-Cooking Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
