Guest guest Posted November 4, 2001 Report Share Posted November 4, 2001 Oat Waffles Source: NEWSTART Lifestyle Cookbook 2 1/4 cups cold water 1/2 cup clean, raw cashews or 2 Tbsp. soy milk powder 2 - 4 dates, or 1 Tbsp. honey 2 cups rolled oats 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt Lightly spray waffle iron with pan spray and preheat between medium and high heat. Place 1 cup of the water into a blender and process with cashews and dates until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and 1 more cup of the water, and blend well. Pour batter onto waffle iron and fill completely, covering all the grids and edges. Bake until steaming stops, about 10 - 12 minutes. Blend batter again and add remaining 1/4 cup water before baking second waffle.
