Guest guest Posted November 14, 2001 Report Share Posted November 14, 2001 Company Beets (or Carrots) Source: Cooking by the Book 2 Tbsp. brown sugar (or alternative) 1 Tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt 1 Tbsp. vegan margarine 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 - 1 lb. can sliced beets drained, or 2 cups sliced freshly cooked carrots or beets 1 - 9 oz. can (2 cups) pineapple tidbits (fresh okay) Combine the first five ingredients and stir until well mixed. Add last two ingredients and heat. Serve hot. Yield: 6 - 8 servings.
