Green Beans Supreme

Source: Cooking by the Book

 

1 lb. green beans

2 Tbsp. sesame seed or slivered almonds

1 Tbsp. oil

Pinch of salt

1 tsp. lemon juice

 

Cook green beans until crispy tender. Lightly brown 2 Tbsp. sesame seed or slivered almonds in 2 Tbsp. oil, add a pinch of salt and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Pour over green beans and toss. Serve at once. Also good on broccoli, cauliflower, and squash. Serves 4 - 6.
