Guest guest
>Need GOOD Pecan Pie Recipe >I had a hard time with this one last year as well and ended up buying a >premade vegan one from the hfs. Anyone? Thanks! >-Hope Here's one that is in " How it all Vegan " although I have not tried this recipe, I have tried a zillion others from this book... all which have been superb! Hope this one works for you. This one is Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie ... I'm sure you can adjust it by leaving the bourbon and chocolate out...but if spending time with your family is anything like spending time with mine, you want to leave the bourbon in! heheh.. Just kidding! :-) Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie Egg replacer (to equal two eggs) 2 Tbsp molasses 1/2 cup corn syrup 2 Tbsp Jack Daniels bourbon (optional) 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp salt 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped 1 cup chocolate chips 4 whole pecans 1 vegan pie crust Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, mix together the egg replacer, molasses, corn syrup, bourbon, vanilla and salt. Add the chopped pecans and chocolate chips and mix together well. Pour into a pie crust and arrange the whole pecans in the center of the pie as decoration. Bake for 40-45 minutes. _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
