There’s more than one way to cook a Tofurky and we want to hear about them.

Cook up a Tofurky or two and send us your best recipe. Grand prize is an all expenses paid trip to Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula!

5 Honorable Mention winners will receive $50 and a free one-year subscription to The Vegetarian Times and Vegetarian Resource Group’s Vegetarian Journal.

Here is how to enter:

We are looking for new and creative ways to prepare The Stuffed Tofu Roast (sold as part of the Tofurky Feast and Separately).

1. Prepare the Roast as a whole unit with a unique cooking method, baste or sauce.

Or

Chop roast and create a recipe using the pieces. Tofurky Tetrazini anyone?…

2. Once perfected, send recipe to Cooking Contest/POB 176/Hood River, OR 97031 (postmarked on or before 4/5/02).

3. First Prize: A 5 day trip for two to Alaska Wildland Adventure’s (see AlaskaWildLand.com) award winning Eco-Lodge and Riverside Lodge (approximately $5,000 value)!

The Fine Print:

1. All entries become the exclusive property of Turtle Island Foods, Inc. and will not be returned.

2. Winner is responsible for all taxes state, local and federal on prizes.

3. Trip to Alaska includes round trip economy class airfare from major airport nearest winner’s residence. Trip is transferable but not redeemable for cash.

4. Trip must be used before September 10, 2003 and planned around Alaska Wildland Adventures (AWA) availability at least 3 months in advance. For more information on exact trip being offered, consult www.alaskawildland.com and see “Kenai Backcountry Safari” or call (800) 334-8730 for a brochure. Winner may elect to extend trip by purchasing other trip “add ons” subject to availability. Winner is responsible for confirming their trip directly with AWA. While the trip is free, the winner must submit the gift certificate to confirm space. If the winner must cancel, he or she may be subject to standard cancellation polices that may reduce the value of the gift certificate.

5. Employees and relatives of employees of Turtle Island, its subsidiaries and affiliates are not eligible.

6. The contest is void were prohibited or otherwise regulated. All federal, state and local laws apply to the contest.

7. All recipes must be original and will be judged based on taste, appearance, consumer appeal, creativity and use of the product.

8. Prizewinners will be notified by mail and posted on www.tofurky.com no later than May 1, 2002.
