Guest guest
Hi all! We're scheduled to take snacks to our group this weekend, and I'm looking for vegan snacks that they'll enjoy. There are 12-14 people. Yesterday, there was cheese dip, brownies & some biscuit/cheese/salsa dish. I'm very proud of myself for not eating any of that stuff(this time last month I would have devoured the cheese dip). So, I'm looking for something fun and casual. The strawberry cheesecake sounds really good, I'll make that, but need more stuff. Do I find the tofutti in a speciality store? Thanks a bunch! Aimee Try FREE Mail - the world's greatest free email! Guest guest
Hi Aimee, I haven't made these yet but they sound delicious! Tracy SOURCE: www.emazing.com Egg-Free Nut Macaroons 3/4 cup ground almonds 1 1/3 cups brown sugar 9 tsp. Ener-G Egg Replacer 6 Tbsp. water 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavor 4 oz. walnut halves Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix ground almonds and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat Egg Replacer with water to form peaks. Beat in remaining sugar and vanilla. Fold in ground almond mixture. Place by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking trays, spaced well apart. Press walnut halves into the top of each macaroon. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Immediately remove from baking tray and allow to cool. --- Aimee Stephens <arhartman wrote: > > Hi all! Guest guest
I usually take a fruit bowl (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, grapes, mango, etc) to things like this. It's simple, and people really like it. I get the impression a lot of these people are fruit-deprived. Brett - Aimee Stephens Monday, March 11, 2002 5:01 PM snacks for non-vegans Hi all!
