Guest guest
we haven't tried baby SA8, he does great with the regular stuff (it's the SA8 bioquest powder) I did buy some Dreft(what the cloth diaper people recommend pre-washing the diapers in), and that gave him a bad rash. We've had NO problems with our laundry soap. I think his nasty rash is yeast. It started after the antibiotics. I'm cutting back on sugars, and taking acidophilus and it seems to be clearing. He still has that allergy rash, but it doesn't seem to bother him. I wonder if what I think is the allergy rash is really yeast. Thanks for your input! Guest guest
For yeast, I took a half gallon of HOT water, a couple of drops of tto (antifungal, antibacterial), a couple of drops of essential lavendar oil (antibacterial, relaxing), a few spoons full of baking soda (neutralizes the urine) and maybe some sort of oil, I can't remember. I put it in a thermos and used that on washcloths to clean the whole diaper area and the rash vanished miraculously. At diaper time, I'd pour some into a bowl, soak it up with the washcloth, spread it out to cool and use that time to strip the baby. Wash off the baby and then do not reuse the washcloth. I washed them all on HOT HOT HOT water, though I suppose if it had been more persistant I'd investigate washing methods more thoroughly. If you're using ME dipes, I think they can be washed in HOT HOT HOT also. If not, maybe put tto in some water and let them soak in it for a while pre-washing.
