Guest guest
Hey all, I'm having a Pirate themed b-day party next month (adults, and 3 toddlers & 6 kids 4-9), it will be after lunch, so I don't need any real food. I'm looking for some kind of snack ideas mainly for the kids. I'm making the cupcakes(instead of a b-day cake) myself, and the punch, I'm juicing some kale/cucumber/parsley slop. Lol, ds loves the stuff. Any ideas? my non-veg friends say have hot dogs and chicken legs. TIA!! aimee
Guest guest
I have a birthday party book with all sorts of party theme plans for kids and here are their recommendations for food for a pirate-themed party; most of these can be adapted to vegan fairly easily. Swashbuckling Breadsticks Crocodile Cookies Pirate Pizzas- hero rolls with pizza filling and mozarella sails- use straws or bamboo skewers to put vegan cheese slices on the pizza rolls or use paper sails instead of cheese Green island vegetable dip: hollow out the middle of a large, flat cabbage; put the dressing inside this and serve with carrot, green pepper and celery sticks; you can make a cucumber: cut a gash at one end of a cuke for a mouth and 2 smaller gashes on each side for gillsl Hollow out an eye. Cut slice from botton and rear sides of cucumber for find. Trim fins to fit along sides and anchor with toothpicks, two on top and one on each side. Good luck and have fun! - arhartman Tuesday, October 01, 2002 6:01 PM finger foods for Pirates Hey all, I'm having a Pirate themed b-day party next month (adults, and 3 toddlers & 6 kids 4-9), it will be after lunch, so I don't need any real food.
