Guest guest Posted March 26, 2003 Report Share Posted March 26, 2003 Delicious Millet Source: Recipes of Friendship Cookbook 1 1/4 cups washed millet 5 cups hot water 1 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. coriander 3/4 cup coconut 1 cup dats, chopped slivered almonds, optional Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat to very low. Simmer, covered, for 45 minutes. Stir in coriander, coconut, and dates. Simmer for an additinal 5 - 10 minutes. Garnish with slivered almonds if desired. *Note: Millet should always be washed before using as it is very dirty. Place in a fine strainer and run hot water through for a minute or two.
