Guest guest Posted April 10, 2003 Report Share Posted April 10, 2003 Split Pea Soup Source: The Foster's Favorites 2 1/2 cups split peas 7 1/2 cups water 1 tsp. salt 1 cup onions, chopped 1 1/2 cups sliced carrots 1 Tbsp. Bragg's Liquid Aminos 1 tsp. onion powder 1/2 cup tomato, optional COmbine the peas and water, and cook until peas are soft. Add salt. Steam onions and carrots with Bragg's Liquid Aminos and onion powder. Add to the peas. Add tomatoes if desired and mix well. Serve hot. This soup is good topped with chopped fresh chives.
