Guest guest Posted April 15, 2003 Report Share Posted April 15, 2003 "Thanksgiving" Roast Source: Ten Talents 3 cups cooked lentils 3 cups cooked millet 3 cups steamed brown rice 1 cup bread, crumbled (3 slices) 1/2 cup dry oatmeal or cornmeal 1/2 cup almond or cashews, ground fine 1/4 cup sunflower seeds, ground fine 1/4 cup oil 1 cup chopped onions or 3 Tbsp. powder 1 Tbsp. sage, heaping 1/2 tsp. celery seed, ground Salt to taste garlic powder (optional) 3 cups ground homemade gluten (optional) Mix well, add bread crumbs or water to make stiff. Place in oiled loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve with favorite gravy. After baking cover with towel to keep moist. ***NOTE: This is an "old" recipe. Don't be afraid to add other seasonings such as Bragg's Liquid Aminos or Bill's Best Chick'nish. "The spirit of hospitality can thrive in the humblest circumstances.
