Hi everyone,

Another new member here. My diet already consists of lots of meatless foods,

but I am interested in going completely vegetarian. Here are my stumbling

blocks:

I've done many searches for healthy vegetarian dishes and many of them

contain spicy or " hot " ingredients, which I can't eat - not even very mild

ones.

I have a medical condition which I've been researching and found out that

soy products may counteract the medications I have to take. Alot of the

dishes I've found also incorporate soy products for protein. What else can I

do to make sure I'm getting the right nutrients (especially protein) if I

can't have a staple of this way of eating?

I love fruits and veggies and I eat alot of pasta, too. I'm mostly concerned

with replacing the protein that I get from the meat group.

Thanks for your help!

If a recipe calls for something spicy just leave it

out. The food will still be tasty but not spicy.

Other ways to get protein are beans, rice, corn, peas,

nuts and more. You don't have to worry about not

getting enough protien if you incorporate the above

ingredients into your diet.

Most meat eaters eat too much protein and are possibly

suffering from it.

Here's a ton of information on vegan nutrition. It's

very easy to do.
