Is celery supposed to be so bitter?

are you so hell bent on eating celery? i don't mean to sound rude, but if you don't like the taste of it, why not leave it out of your diet? it doesn't have anything essential (nutrients or vitamins) that you couldn't get elsewhere.

I usually like the taste of it, but sometimes I get a bunch and

aren't sure why it tastes so bitter. Other times it's crisp and

almost sweet it's so good.
