Meat substitutes may contain egg whites

Oops..sorrry. I didn't read the label. Just had it here for so long and wanted to use it and put it in that soup without reading the ingredients. Next time I'll check more thoroughly.

Someone mentioned using Worthington FriChik in a recipe. I would

encourage those who are truly vegan to aways read the labels. FriChik

is NOT vegan. It contains egg white which is why I don't use it.

Actually, most of the Worthington/Morning Star Farms products contain

egg whites. If you are avoiding all egg products, you will need to

make certain the meat substitute hasn't been made with eggs. I've

found this is true of some Garden Burger and Boca Burger products as

well (or at least the last time I checked).
