I've not made it but remember folks on a knitting related list going on about this recipe years ago. Seems that honey was expensive and folks would make this. Homemade Honey 3 cups water10 cups sugar1 tsp alum3 cups clover blossoms (no green parts)2 & 1/2 cups other flower blossoms (no green parts) Boil water, sugar and alum for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Rinse blossoms in a strainer, and drain well. Stir in blossoms.Steep for 3 hours. Remove flowers. Strain through cheesecloth, if necessary.
