Why doesn't the state take away the kids whose parents feed them crap

(fast food, chips, junk etc.)? I'm a teacher and I'm appalled at the

stuff kids bring for lunch. I see the eating habits of kids and I

think about how many ritalyn prescriptions are written in a year

(yes, some kids do need it) and I wonder if diet is more the culprit.

I know a year-old vegan and she is incredibly healthy and normal for

a child her age.

The sad part is the problems associated with this diet don't become

apparent for years.

In response to the above statement. Yes, diet is the major culprit here. Results from the wrong kind of fats (saturated, transfat, etc..) and not near enough of the right fats (especially omega 3's and DHA coming from breast milk). The result, is a brain (where essential fatty acids are crucial) does properly function. I personally know a medical doctor (Joel Fuhrman, M.D) who has had great success with reversing the symptoms of even the worst cases of ADHD or ADD.

The disease can be completely reversed! The secret is a dramatic change in diet and getting the child to eat very large amounts of ground nut butters, ground nuts like walnuts and ground seeds like flax, etc....
