Guest guest
Hello, everyone! I'm trying to find a really good cake frosting recipe. You know what I mean- The kind that stands up on its own? The ones I've come across call for egg whites. I've tried egg replacer, but it doesn't work. Any suggestions? It's for my daughters first birthday cake, so if its healthy, that would be even better! She's never had sugar of any kind, so her reaction will be intersting!! Thanks, Marisa

Guest guest
Either is fine. Most frostings that I've made end up too glossy and runny. I want one that I can pipe and decorate with. This is all I have :- Chocolate Peanut Butter Frosting 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate 1/4 cup peanut butter 3 tablespoons water ( plus a little more if needed) 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 cup confectioners sugar In a double boiler or small heavy saucepan, melt the choc on medium heat. While it melts, beat together the peanut butter, water and vanilla till smooth. Beat in the confectioners sugar and add the melted choc, mix till blended. Spread on cooled cake. ------------------------- Icing ( my icing) 1 cup icing (confectioners) sugar 3 tablespoons cocoa powder 2 tablespoons soy milk MIx confectioners sugar and cocoa. Add half the milk and the rest gradually so the icing doesn't get too thin, but stands up on its own. Persian
