Guest guest Posted March 3, 2004 Report Share Posted March 3, 2004 Abbey I would soak them and then boil them. The soaking gets rid of the coating that causes gas, and the boiling makes them soft. I soak lentils over night all the time before i cook them and soaking them has never made them soft enough for me to do anything with them except to boil them.
