Guest guest
This recipe is from Silk Soymilk and it's very good. It's printed on the side of the quart-size plain soymilk carton and can also be found, along with other recipes, on their website at www.SILKisSOY.com Akasha's Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 cup organic shortening (or unsalted butter if not vegan) 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup Plain Silk Soymilk 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/4 cups unbleached flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Cream shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Slowly add Silk, cream well, then add vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, then fold in the chocolate chips. 3. Drop by teaspoons on parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake 8 - 10 minutes. I don't do the parchment thing; I just use nonstick cookie sheets. Also, when I make these, I bake them for 14 - 15 minutes or I can still taste raw flour. Maybe my oven isn't getting the temperature right. Lynda
