Vegan Cheeses (don't melt well)

Toffuti has 3 varieties of sliced " American " , " Mozerella " ,

and " Garlic Mozerella " Kosher and Vegan. They also have " cream

cheese and sour cream " .

 

Richter also has a few Vegan Rella cheddar and Mozerella blocks

I'm not sure that anyone has mentioned it, but there

is a line of " cheeses " from a brand called Follow Your

Heart. I also don't know the availability, but they

have been around the Portland, Oregon vegan haunts for

about a year. I don't really like the taste of the

cheddar, but the mozzarella and jack cheeses taste

great. They are great for pizzas and even grilled

" cheeses. " that's right: they melt! They're still

not quite like real cheese, but it's the closest

thing I've found.

 

One place that carries it, Food Fight! Grocery (all

vegan), may know how to get it. Or you could ask them

to add it to their online store.

Here in the Northeast the big natural foods distributor, United, only

carries Follow Your Heart Vegenaise (which is quite good BTW, particularly

the original non-organic). Follow Your Heart does sell direct online. Their
