Guest guest
For me, it was over a period of several months. Meat began to taste more and more disgusting for me--not a stretch because I was a vegetarian for almost four years when I was younger after witnessing some chicken strangling. My parents got pigs last year and weren't sure if they were going to end up as pets or sausages and then I began to question everything that was on my plate. (The pigs were really cute.) It felt right and " good " for me, so I decided at the least I could go vegetarian again. But somehow that wasn't quite enough. I really love to cook so I just bought some new books and tried some new recipes and now I love it. People always say to me that it wouldn't kill me to eat some meat, but I try to make them understand that I just don't want it. There is nothing appetizing about some random animal parts smothered in gravy. When I can look at a plate of food and smile because it's all organic and vegan and there's no blood coming out when I slice into it, I know why I made the choice. I love animals and think they should share in our lives, not be a source of food for us when we don't even need to eat them. , " mitchmredebay " <mmitchell@d...> wrote: > > > I thought it would be interesting to see why we all made this choice > for our lives. > > Michelle
