First,

Good morning to everyone!

Okay, I found the Champion Lyte drinks at Big Lots, formally MacFrugals, for .59. I didn't really like them much though. Second, I'm also having trouble with BM's. So, any help or suggestions would be healthy. Next is the diet. My husband and son pretty much eat anything they want, my daughter has decided she wants to be a veggie, healthy for her but has much more sugar and fat that she can have. Which leaves me eating differently than everyone. So we have three different diets going on. (Lots of fun there). Now, as far as the protein drinks go, my nutritionist suggested buying vanilla flavored mix and adding different favored extracts to break up having the same flavor all the time.

Next, when I first had my surgery in 9/2003 I was a slow loser, then it really kicked and I lost 200 lbs in my first year and was at my goal weight and had my tummy tuck. So don't be discouraged by a slow start.

I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what to eat when I started out. Walmart Super Store has there own brand of Low fat/carb yogurt which really isn't bad.

I also have a really bed problem of belching, my surgeon said it was because I was gulping my food which is crap because I do it randomly all day long, eating or not. I don't know if anyone else has a problem with gas, but I'm driving my family crazy the farting all the time. Trust me they keep their distance. LOL

I still have trouble eating meat, but seem to be ok on pretty much everything else. Some days I can eat all day, ( I know this is bad), But other days the thought of eating makes me sick to my stomach. So, I guess it true that everyone reacts differently to the surgery.

I know there was something else but damned if I remember what it is right now. Maybe later I'll have a brain fart later and remember. LOL

Have a nice day,

Hazel

Belching, gas, it is usually from eating to fast... or

the lack of active enzymes to digest food properly.

Saliva has a lot of enzymes that start the digestive

process. I sometimes have to stop and make sure that I

have chewed everything so fine I am only swallowing

liquid food not chunks. If you see food chunks in your

BM waste. Chew more.

A great source of enzymes and proteins is to sprout

various beans. I really like chick peas and mung beans

and french lentils. Soak 7 hours or over night (I use

a sprouting jar with mesh top). Drain the liquid into

a glass and drink the water. Later that afternoon fill

jar with water to rinse beans, swirl around beans and

water, drain into jar and drink liquid. Do this two to

three times a day, the water picks up enzymes and

proteins that the bean is discarding.

As soon as my beans have a small sprout 2 to 3 days I

put them in the fridge to slow the process, or I toss

them in some salad dressing and eat them as a side or

main dish. Chewing excessively.

Another great source of protein is Wheat Grass Juice,

ounce for ounce it has more protein than meat and is

full of live enzymes.
