Rachael ====================================================== Coconut Chocolate Chews 1/2 c. cocoa 1/4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. shredded coconut 8 pitted dates 1 c. sugar 5 T. water Mix first five ingredients in food processor. Add coconut, dates and sugar, and process again. Add the water and process until a dough forms. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes. After baking, cool the cookies on the sheet for a while to make them easier to handle. Makes around 2 dozen cookies. This recipe is from vegnews.com. I only reduced the baking time.
