Guest guest
I bought some Melissa's Soyrizo at the store today and since I have no idea how to use it I typed 'chorizo' into 's search line and came up with a site full of recipes for all kinds of food, including some for chorizo that I can adapt. There are a lot of vegan recipes there that look delicious, too. So here's the link if anyone's interested: http://www.nikibone.com/recipe/vegan.html
Guest guest
Soyrizo is excellent as a taco or burrito filling. Expensive, but yummy. serene
Guest guest
Have you tried it yet? I saw it for the first time last weekend while grocery shopping, and I thought about buying it, but I have no idea what chorizo (much less soyrizo) tastes like! Guest guest
I tried some last night, just fried up and spread on a piece of rye bread (I was hungry and when I get hungry I want food NOW with no delay...) and it was good-- a little spicy, satisfying. Serene was right when she said it would be good in tacos or burritos. I think tonight I'll use an idea from the website I cited and fry some up with parboiled potatoes and onions and garlic. I've got tortillas on my shopping list. Lynda - Kiersten Tuesday, April 12, 2005 9:34 AM Re: Soyrizo and a great vegan recipe site Have you tried it yet?
