Guest guest
Well, I haven't been trying new things once a week because I'm lazy and disorganized but tonight was new: sloppy joes with TVP (homemade sauce, not the can I grew up with ) and coleslaw made with avocado instead of just Nayo. Only thing is I can't decide whether to call it guacaslaw or colemole (pronounced co lay mo lay). Guacaslaw sounds like a small town in Wisconsin. heh heh heh Peace, Diane Joes or Janes: 3/4 c organic ketchup 1 tsp yellow mustard 1 Tbs brown sugar 1/2 tsp garlic powder TVP sauteed w/ onion & sweet red peppers Guacaslaw red cabbage grated carrot minced yellow onion 1 smushed avo tiny shot of wasabi Nayo if needed for consistency
Guest guest
These sound GREAT!! What a great idea for coleslaw! Yum... I have to comment on Wasabi. So I moved back to MN from AZ and of course was in love with guacamole after living there for over 12 yrs...I picked up some vegan sushi (my first experience with sushi/inari) and there was a blop of green stuff on the plate. I thought..hmmm that is strange that they serve guac with these inari rolls but hey..this is GREAT. I picked up the Inari and swooped it into the "guac" and took a nice big bite.... SCREAM!! Ran to the sink, spit it out and spent about 20 minutes with my mouth under the faucet...lolol... Guest guest
lol, sorry but lol The comedian Rita Rudner tells a similar story and ends by saying it was so hot she could see the inside of her own nose! Once I tricked my poor little sister into trying a big wad of that super hot Chinese mustard. Poor girl. Bad big sister. heheheheh I hope you weren't permanently turned off wasabi. Thanks for your nice comments! Peace, Diane , " Lisa Bakalars " <papresq@c...> wrote: > These sound GREAT!! What a great idea for coleslaw! Yum... > > I have to comment on Wasabi.
