Guest guest
Here's a great recipe that works really well for me and is very yummy. Unfortunately I don't know what cookbook to give credit to right now, but here it is. Michele Simple Sugar Cookies (Makes approximately 3 dozen) 4 cups flour 4 3/4 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup margarine 1 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup water 2 tsp vanilla extract 1. In a large bowl, with a handheld electric mixer set on medium speed (or by hand if you don't have one, of course), beat flour, baking powder, salt, margarine, sugar, water and vanilla. Add a small amount of water if necessary to smooth. 2. Chill overnight. 3. Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly butter 2 cookie sheets. 4. Roll dough out to 1/8-in thickness; cut out with cookie cutters. 5. Dip into granulated or colored sugar (if used) before placing on prepared cookie sheets 1 inch apart. 6. Backe for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly browned. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
