Hi everyone!

 

I’m new here, invited by HeatherJoy

(hi HeatherJoy – thanks for telling me about

this group!)

 

I’ve been a vegetarian for several years, and working

my way toward vegan. I still cheat

once in a while though. I’m

always looking for quick and easy recipes, whether they be

raw or cooked, because I prepare two meals every day for dinner. Hubby is a meat and

potatoes guy, and of course throw in a lot of extra junk food during the

day. I actually used to eat that

way too, before I decided I wanted to be

healthier. He constantly makes fun

of what I eat – he tells people the only thing I eat is algae and tree

bark. But guess who is

healthier? He is on high blood

pressure and high cholesterol medication.

We’re 60 years old, and I’m on no medication at all. I hang around with girlfriends the same

age, and they are always talking about their health problems and what drugs

they take. They all seem to be mad

at me because I’m so healthy.

It’s their choice.

 

My two kids (married with kids of their own) unfortunately

have taken up the Dad Way

of Eating, and passed that on to their kids. My granddaughter eats chocolate donuts

and chocolate milk for breakfast!

Ugh! But when the grandkids (4

yrs. old and under) come here to visit, they eat what I eat!

 

So that’s me, glad to meet you all. I’ll dig up a few of my favorite

recipes to share.
