Guest guest
I just made gingerbread cookies with my kids, and thought I'd share the recipe with you all. It's adapted from a Betty Crocker recipe. GINGERBREAD COOKIES 1/2 c. vegan margarine 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. molasses 2 Tbsp. water 2 1/2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. allspice Cream margarine and sugar together. Then add molasses and water and mix. Blend dry ingredients together, then mix them in with the wet stuff. Chill the dough 2-3 hours. Roll out to 1/4 " thick. Cut with cookie cutters, then decorate. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for 9 minutes. (If you prefer thinner cookies, lessen the baking time. For crisper ones, cook longer.)
