Guest guest
I really appreciate all the hard work that went into your new website. It really looks like a great place! I took a quick peek at the Cottage Pie and had a couple of questions that came up. What is a "punnet" (of mushrooms?) and how many tomatoes in a tin? does the last item mean canned tomatoes, and how large a can? http://www.damefandango.com/vhomepage.htm Peggy
Guest guest
Hi Peggy Thanks for the feedback - its great to know someone is using our recipes! As far as the cottage pie is concerned, a punnet is the container that is used in the UK for selling mushrooms! Basically, we put that in as it was likely that it would be the way they would be bought over here, and we didn't want anyone to worry about specially seeking out and buying a certain amount of mushrooms when a convenient pack would be fine. Generally they would contain around 1/2 pound mushrooms. The tin of tomatoes would be the standard 14oz tin (or can!), or nearest equivalent - is there a problem calling things tins or cans in the States? - we use both words over here so if you let me know I could standardise my recipes to either. If there are any other terms that are confusing in my website/recipes I would love to know as this would help as many people as possible to use this as a resource, hopefully making being a vegetarian/vegan as mainstream and easy as possible! Thanks again Dame xx http://damefandango.com/vhomepage.htm , pkinnetz wrote: > > I really appreciate all the hard work that went into your new website. > It really looks like a great place!
