Guest guest
WOOHOO!!! I did it!!! I made rice balls, yes, easy but for some reason I was nervous. This is my own recipe and a little non- traditional filling...make sure to read the note at the bottom!!! Enjoy. Stephanie Stephanie's Rice Ball's 2 cups sushi rice (dry) 1 pkg frozen veggie blend of Broccoli Florets, Cauliflower and Carrots Directions: *Prepare rice according to package (including the rinsing and soaking) set aside * Lightly steam veggies (so they remain slightly crisp) *Rinse under cool water until cool enough to put into food processor *Chop veggies to fine consistency but not mush *When rice has cooled enough to handle, wet hands (rice is VERY sticky) *Get a handful of rice in one hand, make an indentation in center *Place a spoonful of veggies in center *Cover with another handful of rice and shape into ball (or any other shape you wish) * Serve with your favorite sauce NOTE: This led to another recipe, I had alot of leftover veggies that were already chopped. I added vegenaise to make a " veggie salad " ...DELICIOUS in a pita pocket!!! Or you could throw it all in the blender and make a veggie spread for crackers. Guest guest
What kind of sauce did you serve it with? I'm having a hard time imagining what to use. Katie http://frugalveggiemama.blogspot.com
Guest guest
I used Ponzu sauce (a citrus flavor soy sauce) my husband wants to try it with sweet and sour. I can't imagine any sauce NOT being good on it. Just up to your taste, you can use any veggies you want too... Stephanie , Katie Mangan <kmangan33 wrote: > > What kind of sauce did you serve it with?
