Guest guest
Broccoli and fried tofu has long been a fav of mine when we get Chinese food. I decided to try it at home. I baked my tofu in the oven to make it crispy instead of frying it. I had wonderfully yummy success!!! Here's the recipe....ENJOY!!! Stephanie Broccoli & Crispy Baked Tofu Ingredients: Extra Firm Tofu: 14 oz block(drained and pressed) Broccoli Florets: 14 oz frozen bag (thawed) Carrots: 10 oz bag Julienne Cut Brown Rice: 4 cups cooked Sauce: bottle of your favorite ( I used Brown Garlic Sauce) Directions: *Preheat oven to 375 degrees * Slice tofu into fairly thin slices then into triangles *Place on a baking sheet that has been " swiped " with olive oil *Lightly salt tofu (optional) *Bake for 20-30 minutes (my oven is 20 minutes) *Can be added immediately to dish or refrigerate for later (I cook mine during the afternoon to be used for dinner) *In large skillet or wok, add broccoli, carrots, tofu and just a bit of oil (or water), heat for 2 minutes on med-high *Add desired amount of sauce and cook until heated through *Serve over rice
Guest guest
Thanks for the recipe. I tried it last night. The family LOVED it! The tofu is so good prepared this way. We didn't even need the rice. , " Stephanie " <stargazerlily72 wrote: > > Broccoli and fried tofu has long been a fav of mine when we get > Chinese food. I decided to try it at home.
