Guest guest
If anyone can recommend a personal or family favourite recipe for a (lentil/split pea) Dahl that would be fantastic. I am wanting one that doesn't have a strong coriander taste. Thank you, K

No coriander at all and I enjoyed the taste over brown rice and put it in my " to make again " binder. (I didn't really smash or puree it because I was feeling lazy.) Sparrow Bright Yellow Dahl Ingredients: 2 cups yellow lentils or split peas 6 cups bouillon or broth 6 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste) 1 teaspoon turmeric 2 teaspoons cumin 1/2 cup chopped cilantro Directions: Bring all ingredients, except cilantro, to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 45 minutes. Stir frequently during last half of cooking time. Remove from heat and stir briskly with a whisk or large spoon to mash into a creamy puree (or can use a blender to make it super smooth). Stir in the cilantro and sprinkle some cilantro on top for garnish. Makes 6 to 8 servings Serve with cooked whole grains, such as brown rice, and a green salad or other Indian inspired dishes.
