Guest guest
Hi everyone.I'm a big fan of the vegan Parmesan by the name of Parma, even though it tastes nothing like Parmesan cheese. I tried my hand at making it myself and it turned out great. If you've never tried it, it has a great salty, rich, nutritional yeast flavor. I sprinkle it on veggies, popcorn, pasta, and even had a few big spoonfuls plain. Next project: Making my own tempeh "Fakin' Bacon" since it's getting ridiculously expensive ($4.59) to buy the Lightlife brand Fakin' Bacon.Vegan Parmesan-Substitute1 cup raw walnuts3/4 cup nutritional yeast1/2 teaspoon salt (might try a bit less if you don't like a salty taste)Pulverize all ingredients in food processor until smooth & powdery. Refrigerate. I put it in my old Parma container, or put in Parmesan cheese container.
