Guest guest Posted March 18, 2002 Report Share Posted March 18, 2002 It can be argued very easily that wrong doing IS a matter of opinion, particularly under utilitarianism which is often used as a defence of animal rights [1] but also cultural relativisim (and indeed from many sociological perspectives), ethical egoism, and any morality which does not believe in an objective right an wrong, a metaphysical concept which is very hard to support if you don't believe in a deity. As for satan, it is not so much a name for evil but a name for a personification for evil, although that doesn't change your point. And regardless of what anyone else says satan is certainly off topic as is wrong doing, even though I would concede its relevance to veganism.
