The Irish Government's *modest proposal* which was supported by the Church

and narrowly defeated in the referendum was to remove mental health as

possible grounds for abortion so a woman who was suicidely deppressed --

maybe cos she been raped! -- could be imprisoned for twelve years under the

anti-abortion laws if she attempted suicide rather than go to term and be

forced to have a baby she don't want!

 

Not true?

 

Then perhaps Mr Christian can explain what *reforms* the Irish Government

was proposing to *protect* women and the *unborn child* (sic)?

 

More likely he cannot because he hasn't got a clue! Was he advocating a yes

vote or a no vote? Let's hear it, Judas!

 

 

And I just love the way the *Pro-Life* hypocrites suddenly remember the

evils of British imperialism whenever they want to tighten the noose around

women's rights in Ireland! Yeah, the people who opposed the Government and

the Church were all *misled* by *British propoganda*!
