Then that is an exception. Just like it is an exception to kill someone when they are threatening your life. Killing is wrong, self defence is an exception. Killing animals for our own needs is wrong, the examples you cited are exceptions. How would you formulate ethical veganism if it is to allow your examples (boat and Tibet) without them being seen as exceptions?
