Something that does irritate me about this- why is she called 'The

Queen Mother'? Surely she is (sorry was) The Queen's Mother. What

happened to the apostrophe 's'???

Are the Royal corgi's refered to as 'The Queen Dogs'? I don't think

so.

Also realsied today that not many people know what her real name

was. certainly no-one in our house... Even a pro-royalist guy at

work, when I asked him what her name was looked blank and

said, " well, I dunno... "

 

This person did concede that if the QM had been working class she

would most likely have kicked the bucket years ago...

 

I noticed somebody left an empty gin bottle amongst the

(ahem) 'muted' floral tributes (wasn't you was it Edith??)

 

At least virgins all across the land can sleep easily in their beds

from now on :-)
