> A broad finding was that learning to become vegan was rooted

in the interviewees' understanding of who they are and their

place in the world...

Is that really a finding? Surely every life shaping decision we

make (including to not become vegan) stems from a

undertsanding of our place in the world. Be it a personal

philosophy, a world view, following a religion etc.

I can't see how you can make such choice without an

undersyanding and unless the study wishes to assertain why

other people with the same knowledge do not become vegan I

am highly skeptical about its claims. Aside from my self

understanding I didn't relate with the study.
